Lucy Caruso is a certified electrologist with over 20 years of experience. Ms. Caruso manages and operates her own electrolysis school / clinic. From 1987 to 1992, Ms. Caruso worked as an electrologist under the direct supervision of Dr. R. N. Richards and Gay (Elizabeth) Meharg, authors of the renowned textbook, COSMETIC AND MEDICAL ELECTROLYSIS AND TEMPORARY HAIR REMOVAL.
Ms. Caruso successfully completed the training course and received her instructor’s diploma from the Meharg International School of Electrolysis in 1995, under the direction of Gay (Elizabeth) Meharg, a woman of high integrity and dedication, with extensive knowledge in the subject of electrolysis. Ms. Caruso has since taught the theory and practical applications of GALVANIC ELECTROLYSIS, THERMOLYSIS and the BLEND in several schools in Toronto, Canada.
Ms. Caruso is also a member of the Federation of Canadian Electrolysis Association (FCEA), an organization dedicated to promoting professionalism and elevating electrolysis standards through continuing education. Ms. Caruso holds the title of Certified Professional Electrologist, (CPE) for having successfully passed the examination sponsored by the FCEA.
As a guest speaker, Ms. Caruso has lectured on the subject of "Professional Electrolysis Consultation", for the FCEA at the Novotel Hotel in Toronto, and was honored with a letter of excellence by Mr. Frank Kovacs, Honorable Chairman of the FCEA.
Ms. Caruso has a special interest on professional development with a distinct focus on continuing education on electrolysis studies. Ms. Caruso has attended numerous meetings, workshops, seminars and conventions, including a four-day convention known as "Canada Is! 98" sponsored by the Canadian Organization of Ontario Electrologists. Ms. Caruso met other school directors from all over North America and was instrumental in proposing methods to further elevate the profession. At this convention, Ms. Caruso received her certificate as a registered "Dermal Therapist" from Julius Shapiro, director of the International Society of Dermal Therapists, New Jersey, USA.
Ms. Caruso's high standards towards professionalism combined with her highly organized teaching methods, based on the book, COSMETIC AND MEDICAL ELECTROLYSIS AND TEMPORARY HAIR REMOVAL, assures prospective students their ability to gain a thorough knowledge in the procedure, theory and history of electrolysis, with special attention on the medical aspects of the profession.
