Hours
Our intensive 3 week daytime courses are held Monday - Friday,9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Our 15 week evening courses are held 2 evenings a week (Monday and Wednesday), 6:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. These courses are scheduled at various intervals throughout the year.
Location and Parking
Parking space available, bus stop at front door.
School Facilities and Equipment
Effective, quality, instructional one-to-one training, with maximum 4 students per course. The emphasis is on computerized electrolysis machines, however, the students are also taught to use foot pedal electrolysis machines.
Courses of Study
The students study the 3 methods of electrolysis: galvanic electrolysis, thermolysis and the blend. The course also familiarizes the students with the various electrolysis equipment on the market today, with the emphasis on computerized machines. The students learn about temporary methods of hair removal and are given basic knowledge on setting up an electrolysis facility.
Instructor
Instructor is a graduate of Meharg International School of Electrolysis, holds a certified professional diploma in electrolysis, has extensive knowledge in the electrolysis field with teaching experience in various schools in Ontario.
Prerequisites
All students must be at least 17 years of age and have successfully completed Grade 12 in a Canadian high school or the equivalent. Applications from mature students ( 19 years or over ) will be considered. All students must provide a written work reference and a written character reference or two written character references. A certificate from a practicing physician stating that the student is free from any communicable diseases is also required.
Eye Examination
It is advisable to have a recent eye examination prior to starting the course as the work required in electrolysis is very precise.
Class Size
Our guarantee of small classes (minimum 2 and maximum 6) ensures individual instruction for each student.
Practical Experience
The students are expected to work on themselves and each other, as well as on the instructor. No one will be exempt from taking treatment from any student. Pre-sterilized disposable needles are provided for each student to ensure the safest environment for learning.
Dress Code
The students are expected to wear a white LAB COAT. Or white uniform.
Course Cost and Supplies
The total cost of the electrolysis course is $1,900.00 Canadian. The registration fee, the textbook "Cosmetic and Medical Electrolysis and Temporary Hair Removal" are included in the cost of the course. There are no additional costs. The registration fee ($400.00) is non-refundable. Tuition fees may be tax deductible. Total fee is to be paid prior to commencing the course.
Personal Interview
To help the prospective student make a final decision before enrolling in our electrolysis course, we arrange a personal interview and brief training session. During the training session, the prospective student may perform actual electrolysis under direct supervision. This interview is suggested for all prospective students who are within a reasonable traveling distance from the school.
Regulations
The regulations concerning electrolysis vary widely from province to province, state to state and country to country, so please check the regulations for your own area before committing yourself to this electrolysis course.
Diploma
Graduates of this course will receive a diploma upon successful completion of the theory and practical examinations.
Follow-up Assessment
A follow-up assessment 3 months after graduation may be arranged at no cost - another example of our striving for the highest level of excellence in the field of electrolysis.
